There is an old saying that says "Legends never die".....well there is certainly a lot of truth in Megaman case. For a long part of my gamers days I was a huge fan of Megaman and Megaman X (my favorite series of Rockman), but after I think Megaman X6 I stopped playing or follow the games, so you may not believe that I not was aware of the situation of Megaman and Capcom until maybe a few months ago when my best friend who is a bigger Megaman fan than me explain me the whole thing and I start watching rants on youtube of Megaman fans....so I couldn't get to know when the campaign in Kick Started of Mighty no.9 was on about the amazing project of Kenji Inafune to continue the Megaman style of action platform games with a "Spiritual successor" Called "Beck".....I may not couldn't contribute with the Kickstarted of the game, BUT you bet your ass I gonna buy this game, I saw all gameplays and looks freaking amazing I can't wait for that, a truly cool side-scroller game that we haven't see one like...damn millenniums for me at least.
I'm still sad that we may never see the Blue Bomber in his full glory again for the stupid denial of Capcom to not do anything with the character and cancelling a good portion of great sequels that could be done for the franchise (AND maybe safe their ASSES of the mess they are now) like Megaman Legends 3, Online, Universe, Maverick Hunters and more (plus all the slap in the face to fans with the "Megaman Box art cover" in Street Fighter x Tekken or the DLC skin of X for Zero in Marvel vs Capcom 3).....but maybe there is hope, now with the current Capcom situation selling a good portion of their games that could lead to a company who cares about the character regain the former glory of one of the most notable characters in Video Game history and continue producing games... I only hope that could be Nintendo, just saying maybe is not a "coincidence" that Megaman is part of Super Smash Bros Wii U, only time will tell, in the mean time..........Mighty no.9.....MY BODY IS READY XD!! I hope you folks like my little tribute to my favorites Megaman incarnations XD.
Megaman and Megaman X are © by Capcom / Mighty no.9 is © by Comcept and Kenji Inafune.
While I love Mega Man X, Mighty no. 9 is loaded with controversy and deception. I strongly urge people to not buy Mighty no.9.
And by the way, learn English, dude. Your grammar is even worse than your ignorance.
I’m guessing you never watched the Dina Disaster on YouTube, huh? Dina basically treated investors like trash when they called her out on her shenanigans.
Keji Inafune was also aware of what was going on and added her actions. And for the record Inafune did not create Mega Man. He admitted that Mega Man was already created by the time he joined the project at Capcom. Now, when it comes to Capcom they are obviously run by jerks. If you have a problem with Capcom then change this rancid financial system so you can buy the company and get the games you so desperately want.
The FACT of the matter is that Inafune is embroiled in controversy. He also proved that Kickstarter is a Raw Deal. Napoleon Bonaparte once said: “The hand that gives is above the hand that takes.”, yet investors were treated like scum and had absolutely no power.
Since Inafune is a nasty individual I strongly encourage people to not support him. I also saw the completed game and it looks generic and boring. A hand drawn animation style like the one depicted in the promotional artwork would have been better.
I giggled a bit when I saw this, excellent piece!
This picture is amazing. Glad to see some Megaman love.
I'm hoping one day we'll get a "Megawoman Eve" game! ^_^
Just a bit of clarification. When Street Fighter x Tekken was being made, and Bad Box Art Mega Man was being put in, there were still Mega Man games in development, and Inafune was still a part of Capcom. It was just a bad coincidence that those games got cancelled and he left at the SAME time that BBA Mega Man got put into SFxT. It was supposed to be a good-natured joke, but ended up seeming like a slap in the face to fans.
I agree with you completely, I think Nintendo would do Mega Man justice. They take their times releasing games, but they make sure they are high-quality before they do.
