When I was a little kid there were so many things that I love and watched in TV.....Alf, Transformers, Voltron, G.I.Joe, Jem and the Holograms (yes I said, deal with that), The Thundercats, WWE, ufff I can make a huge list for sure :D.......but if there was 2 shows that make me wanted to DRAW AND Inspired me to do it, those shows were 1 He-Man Master of the Universe.....and 2.....THE TEENAGE MUTANT NINJA TURTLES.....where do I begin with the last one?

Say that this show was EVERYWHERE in the 90' not cover one bit of how huge the Ninja Turtles were for us the kids who grow up watching this cartoon, me and my brother collected everything related to the TMNT, t-shirts, TOYS (ohhhhh the toys :love:), Comics (not the originals I mean little strips that were publishing on the newspaper on our country), and of course THE TV SHOW and the MOVIES. I was so fan of these characters that I even like TMNT III.......yes I not kidding I watch that movie as many times I watch the first 2.......of course I was a kid so you have to understand me ^^;......that movie sucks I know, but is still a guilty pleasure of mine.

I grow up and my love for the Turtles was fading away, not even the 2003 cartoon (that is awesome) could get me back to the Party Wagon so easily :D, but thanks to the 2007 animated movie from studio IMAGI, I reconnect with the Turtles and became a fan once more, that one and "Turtles Forever" seal the deal for me.

So when I heard and see the first glance of the newer version of the Turtles made by Nickelodeon.....I was a little skeptical but nor the less excited.........

So I seat and watch the SEASON 1 of the show looking to see if this will became a worthy entry in the TMNT Universe.....or just a huge mistake.......who I try to fool here? this is a review of season 2, OF COURSE I LOVE THIS SHOW :onfire::D

This version of the Turtles is not only a worthy entry into the mythology of these character, but in my dear opinion......this series so far is....PERFECT!! and season 2 is just another fine example of that, becoming my favorite thing in the Turtles universe right now.

The BAD:

Well as perfect as I think this series is, it probably have some issues.....mnnn,......err.......well...........ahhhh...............yeah I got nothing to complain so let's move on :D

The GOOD (prepare for another gosh fest):

-The Animation: A lot of people mount immediately in the hate wagon when they hear, CGI ANIMATION, like computer animated is SATAN HIMSELF....not my case, I love animation in any form and one of my all time favorites series of the 90' was also a CGI serie.....someone remember REBOOT :D?? In my opinion this series have a great style and an amazing use of the animation for his characters, the battle scenes and perspectives they use, make everything looks incredible and really fluid, and the characters designs is just as good, I love how colorful the characters are and how they make all Turtles have their own characteristic look without over do it with accessories and stupid stuffs (cof, cof, some people should have NOTED that in a recent movie adaptation, cof, cof). Another little detail is that in some fights they decide to not add any music to raise up the intensity of the situations:

-The Story: After saw the season finale of this show I seriously can call  this particular season as....."THE EMPIRE STRIKE BACK" of the Turtles universe, the level of developed and the use of the characters in this season is just AWESOME, the relations between the Turtles, Shredder, Splinter, Karai and the rest is just very well done, the only series I could think that did a better job on that  in this year was LEGEND OF KORRA, seriously this was a great season with a very involve plot, blending perfectly the action, the drama and the comedy all in the right doses. But once again in what they exceed was in use of THE CHARACTERS:

-The Characters: Is impossible to do this without talking in details about everyone in this season so let's start with my less favorite to my favorite character in this season (and series overall).

Shredder's Clan: We get a lot of great antagonist for the turtles here, from Rahzar to Tiger Claw (who was F%ckin awesome), we get some old faces returning like Baxter become the Fly, and possible some very familiar fan favorite who shows his "purple Mohawk" in some of this season.....maybe we gonna get some "Rocksteady & Bebop" action soon :D, and the hilarious Kraangs that always make me laugh with their way of talking :D

Michelangelo: Yes this may shock some, but Mickey sometimes is really, really, Reallyy Funny, and some others is....well just annoying ^^;, at least for me, not get me wrong I love still Mickey and I agree that Greg Cipes have done a terrific job with him, specially on the finals episodes of the season, still I hope they keep his humor a tiny bit lower and make him mature a bit more, but that's just me been nitpicking.

Casey Jones: GOONGALA XD!!  what can I say about this version of Casey, at first I was worry when I saw he was gonna be a Teenager too like April, and his introduction didn't clic with me as much I wanted....but as soon he put his Vigilante costume......IT WAS ON!!....This Casey is pretty cool, very different to previous incarnations but still all the awesomeness of the character are present in this, my only bitter complain now is...well I dislike his "triangle thing" between him and Donny for April.....same reasons I hated the Korra/Mako/Asami one.....I hate triangles, but this one is more passable for the comedy we get from these 3 XD.

Raphael: Really love Ralph in this series, I like a lot his relation with Slash and Casey, and his chemistry with the others Turtles is just as awesome, some of my favorites episodes of this season are the ones with Ralph arcs and stories.

Shredder: The main villain of the series for a reason, this incarnation of the Shredder is every bit of BADASS as the 2003, plus his amazing rivalry with Splinter is in full power in this show. this is probably the most humanized version of him with his love/hate relation with Karai and Splinter, that's make him more interesting to watch. Kevin Michael Richardson have done an incredible work voicing the Shredder in this show.

Leonardo and Karai: I put this 2 together (not shipping them, stop that....ok you can), because their arc stories in this season are line together, between Leo tries to convince Karai to join them and Karai struggling to obey his father Shredder. Plus both show us how badass they can be in battle specially Leo who in the season end shows up why he is the Leader of the group.

Splinter: Holly cow, I not kidding when I say.....this is the most BADASS SPLINTER EVER MADE.........not exaggerating one bit on that, his story and Shredder is pretty cool, you can related now even more to him and his loses, and you never questioned why he is the master of the Turtles, something I love in this show, is how well they handle Splinter as the father/teacher of the Turtles and became a father figure for April, and plus....his arc with Karai, was pretty well handled by the writers team, kudos.

Donatello: Always been my favorite Turtle, and in this show is NO EXCEPTION... Donnie is just AWESOME, he is always a fundamental part of the team, and he is one of the characters who get more developed in this season, his relation with April is hilarious  (yeahh go Donnie, go Donnie, GO), and his chemistry with the rest of the group is great, Rob Paulsen pull off an amazing acting shops to make his version of Donnie as way different possible of his Raphael from 1987, so big kudos to this legend in voice acting :worship:.......but incredible Donnie is not my favorite character in the whole series.....there is one more character that win me over in this show way more than Donnie, and that character was....

APRIL O'NEAL: Surprised?? yeah this incarnation of April is my favorite incarnation of her....I love to see her developed since season 1 to now, and she have grown a lot. Plus we have the opportunity to see April in so many ways that we have not see her before.....as a friend and even as an enemy of the Turtles (well more like unfriendly to them for a short period of time), plus she keep pushing to not just be the "damsel" any more and is really fun see her in episodes trying to catch with the Turtles and earn their respects as a warrior and sister. I love that she as a Teenager can hang out with the boys in a less motherly way as she did in some of the old shows and became like the little sister of the group, I know the 2003 version did this too, but in my opinion, this show handle April better, so again big kudos, and I can leave without praising the magnificent voice talent of Mae Whitman for voice this awesome character.

Overall, this series is a MUST WATCH for both hardcore Turtle fans and non Turtles fans, this series pays homage to all incarnations of the Turtles, since the Cartoons, Movies and games, and also incorporate a lot of tributes to 80' series, movies and even animes, seriously the Cartoons in the show that Leo, Mickey, Ralph and Don watch is just a hilarious parody of Big mechas shows from anime in the 80' XD. If you aren't watching still this show, I totally recommended.

Ratting: 10 out of 10 (with a Pepperoni lovers special Pizza seal of approved)

Now if you excuse me, let me hear this opening sequence again.......BOOYAKASHAAA!!

The only thing that could be called bad about this show is Donnie having a crush on April.
