haven't seen them all yet, but Hunger Games has to be the worst, and Dark Knight Rises was a huge disappointment.

I voted for Avengers simply because it's the only one on the list I was able to see this year. Hope to see The Hobbit this week.

I voted for Skyfall, but I've yet to see some of this year's new films that have garnered great reviews, like Argo and Looper. I'm also interested in Amour, Michael Haneke's new film.

The Hobbit was good, and it didn't feel as stretched as I had heard. And The Expendables 2 was badass, of course. TDKR was major disappointment for me, though.

Hands down Hobbit ... but I was surprised how good Hunger Games was and that Looper wasn't your typical hollywood-action-scifi like godawful Total Recall remake was. I also like'd how true to original comicbook new Judge Dredd movie was.

Really wish I'd gotten to see Looper in theaters.

As for my pick, as much as I enjoyed The Avengers, no theatrical release recaptured the childlike thrill of the movie-going experience like Wreck-It Ralph. If I were 10 years younger when this film came out, I'd still be over the moon about it.

On reflection, it's a tie between Avengers and DK Rises in my mind. Both are grand franchises a decade in the making, and these films tied them together just so brilliantly. I do love the other films listed, except for the ones I haven't seen yet, but these two were the contenders.

Confidentially, I do lean a bit towards DK Rises more. The Avengers earned my love one by one, Batman never really lost it.

I actually thought Dark Knight Rises was the worst Batman ever made o_0

Really enjoyed the Amazing Spiderman though.. That was pretty good.

For animated films.. Hotel Transylvania was very cool.. it has Vampires~

Prometheus for me was just awesome...

I haven't been to the cinema for few years because it's incredibly expensive in France (ca. 10€ per person (and without any freaking high-tech 3D glasses for blooming 3D movies)). On the other side, DVDs cost at least twice as much... Just insane, isn't it?

So I've voted "Other".

12€ in Finland. Unless you buy 5 or 8 packs. It is quite expensive in my opinion too.

I like how you think. I like'd Dredd too and specially that this time it was quite true to original comicbook. Shame it didn't have big enough budget to allow more locations than one building :) And that they totally robbed the script from movie Raid.

Indeed, it was much more true to the comic series, and though it had a much smaller budget, this movie made much better use of it. The result is a much better movie over the original one.
